Tata Starbucks arrives in the city of Ludhiana

Tata Starbucks  celebrated its entry into the city of Ludhiana with the opening of its first store in Sarabha Nagar, Malhar Road. Ludhiana is now the third city in Punjab offering the premium Starbucks Experience, after Chandigarh and Amritsar. The entry into Ludhiana further represents Tata Starbucks long-term commitment to India, where the company will now be serving customers across 15 cities and 203 stores.

Our goal with the Ludhiana store is to create a welcoming third place experience that is safe, familiar and convenient for all our customers. India remains one of our fastest growing markets and we hope to continue to thoughtfully expand and bring an elevated coffee experience to newer markets across the country.” 

Located northwest of New Delhi, Ludhiana is Punjab’s largest city. The Malhar Road store is situated next to a prime residential area and on the ground level of a commercial building. The store’s interior is inspired by earth tones and warm wood, expressed by the wood panelling that creates an oasis for customers to experience the iconic Starbucks third place.  As a city known for cotton and textile production, the feature artwork showcases a traditional embroidery technique called Phulkari, depicting in bright colors and details the origin animals and fauna found on coffee farms across various farming regions.  

The new Starbucks store in Ludhiana offers customers a wide range of Starbucks beverages including the newly launched Starbucks Diwali Blend and all-time favourites such as Cafe Mocha, Java Chip Frappuccino, Signature Hot Chocolate and Caramel Macchiato. Customers can enjoy the newest menu additions like the Tiramisu Cold Brew, Dark Mocha Cookie Crumble and the classic international favourite Cortado along with a food menu comprising of Indian and International favourites, at the new Starbucks store. The store will also offer a range of Indian and international food menu items such as Chicken Naanwich, Chicken Cheese toast, Tandoori paneer sandwich, Chatpata paratha wrap, Chole masala wrap, Murg kathi wrap, and Chicken seekh pocket to complement the coffee experience.  

Customers can also enjoy a range of Teavana teas, including the Starbucks signature India Spice Majesty Blend for those who seek a reimagined tea experience. The store will also offer Starbucks merchandise and free Wi-Fi so that customers can enjoy an elevated coffeehouse experience that Starbucks is known for. 

Customers in Ludhiana are invited to join the My Starbucks Rewards (MSR) loyalty program, which provides members rewards and personalised benefits that increase with frequency of use. When customers sign up for a My Starbucks Rewards account, they immediately begin earning stars for purchases at Starbucks.   

With partner (employee) and customer safety a top priority, Tata Starbucks continues to observe elevated cleaning and sanitising protocols and take precautions, including floor markers to encourage social distancing in waiting areas, temperature checks for all partners, customers and delivery executives and partners are required to wear facial coverings and gloves during their shifts. Tata Starbucks has also introduced contactless order and payment methods, such as Mobile Order and Pay through the Starbucks India mobile application, so customers can enjoy a safe, familiar and convenient Starbucks Experience
