The Bhopal Chapter of the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) is being organized and will soon be formally launched with the objective of serving as a platform for advocating fair business policies, providing education and training to employees and promoters of the Food and Beverage Industry to facilitate networking and collaboration, maintaining industry standards and supporting local businesses and cuisines.
NRAI, a national association that represents more than five lakh restaurants across the country, comes at a time when the city of Bhopal is experiencing a change in its Food and Beverage landscape with new eateries opening all around. There is a significant growth in the number of Restaurants, Cafes, Bars, and Clubs in Bhopal which will definitely add to the economy of the city.
The founding managing committee of NRAI Bhopal Chapter comprises of: • Mr. Abhishek Bahety (Chapter Head) franchisee of International food brands. Speaking about the aims and objectives of the NRAI, Bahety said: “I am committed to working closely with other members of the chapter to ensure that the interests of the restaurant industry in Bhopal are well represented and protected.
The challenges that are being faced by restaurant operators in the city will now have a collective voice and we will definitely bring in the national support to resolve them.” • Mr. Sachin Agarwal (Co-Chapter Head); CEO of KA Enterprises owns and operates multiple restaurants and a catering company is of the view that NRAI Bhopal Chapter will work on supporting the professional development of members, fostering effective communication and collaboration among chapter members, and promoting NRAI Bhopal Chapter at the national level. • Mr. Garvit Agarwal (Secretary); his firm manages QSR outlets across the city, • Mr. Sunil Kanjani (Joint Secretary), has family pure veg restaurants in Bhopal and • Mr. Varun Mehta (Treasurer), has a boutique hotel and very well renowned bakery in the city.
With this diverse representation of the Managing Committee, NRAI Bhopal Chapter promises to provide a platform for local restaurants and other food outlets to come together, and share ideas and best practices towards the growth and development of the industry.
